This position assists in support of day to day accounting activities for the Bakken Asset Team (USPO). May also be requested to provide occasional support of other Developing Project asset areas (eg: Powder River Basin, Piceance /SW Wyoming).
Responsibilities
1. Support and assist in the day to day accounting activities of the Bakken Asset Team.
2. Assist Bakken lead accountant and operations staff in reviewing capital and expense charges, allocations, asset balances, SAP hierarchies, etc. Initiate corrections as needed, and identify process improvements that will reduce accounting inconsistencies. Individuals will also be expected to interface as needed with IBM outsourced accounting departments.
3. Utilize reporting tools (SAP R/3, BW, Hyperion, and MicroStrategy) to perform queries in response to requests from asset team, accounting, and management.
4. Generate ad hoc and/or monthly reports as required to support accounting and operations team members.
5. Be capable of assisting with or being responsible for special projects as needed.
6. Occasional travel to field office locations will be required.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's Degree - Accounting required.
2. Computer: Proficiency in SAP R/3, Business Warehouse, and the suite of Microsoft Office products a plus.
